Famous Face Friday - Graham Hill

Not surprisingly, the Run has attracted a great many well-known faces over the years. Each Friday we’ll take a dip into the archives and see who we can find.

Our first famous face is Graham Hill, who had the 1962 and ‘68 Formula 1 World Championship titles under his belt when he took part in the 1972 Run. He also had a very recent Le Mans win to his name, having taken the chequered flag in the 24 Hours race with Henri Pescarolo in a Matra 670 that same year. Hill is shown here aboard a slightly more sedate form of transport, the Oxfam-entered 1903 Wolseley, chauffeuring another famous face (and long-term Brighton resident), the actress Dora Bryan.
