Reigniting overseas passions for the world's longest running motoring event

This year’s RM Sotheby’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run will enjoy significant support from PreWarCar.com, the leading online resource for owners and enthusiasts of the pioneering vehicles participating in the world’s longest running motoring event.

The new partnership has been established between the Royal Automobile Club, curators of the annual Veteran Car Run since 1930, and PreWarCar.com to the major benefit of both organisations. The latter will gain extra prominence through its new relationship with one of the most illustrious and iconic automotive celebrations, while the former will be rewarded with additional international insight, expertise and coverage – important facets post pandemic and Brexit.

Based in The Netherlands, PreWarCar.com has multi-lingual global reach and therefore is the perfect platform not only to reignite passions but also to reassure and assist those travelling from overseas to savour the unique magic of the Veteran Car Run.

“This year’s Run has already attracted more than 330 entries with many, once again, bringing their veteran cars from right around the globe to be part of such a special event,” said Ben Cussons, Chairman of the Royal Automobile Club. “We are aware, however, that there are understandably still some concerns over international travel and we are keen to do all we can to assist potential participants from outside the UK. One of the big benefits of our new partnership with PreWarCar.com is to oil those wheels and ease passage.”

Established in 1998 when online links to pre-WWII cars and makes were scarce, PreWarCar.com has become the essential resource in the veteran and vintage car sector. Its covers news covers auctions, events, motor shows, car clubs, barn-finds, motor sport, restorations and a host of other happenings and its navigation also include busy classified advertising covering vehicles, support services and components.

“With its extraordinary history and heritage the Veteran Car Run is one of the most revered events on the motoring calendar and we are delighted to be partnering the Royal Automobile Club in promoting this year’s event,” enthused Laurens Klein, Managing Director and Owner of PreWarCar.com photographed above on Westminster Bridge in 2017. “We love great stories and every car on the road from London to Brighton has its own epic tale to tell – that’s what makes this celebration so special and of such endearing interest to all those in the PreWarCar.com community.”

In its new role, PreWarCar.com will not only be providing additional coverage but also helping with translations, acting as liaison with overseas car clubs and sharing relevant content – both editorial and advertising – with the Veteran Car Run’s own on-line platforms.
