Participant Update: Satisfaction Levels Soar Ahead of 2019 Run

Last year we were thrilled to receive some exceptional post-event feedback from participants who took part in the Bonhams London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. We’ve put together a few highlights from the survey on which we were particularly pleased to receive such positive reports.

The 2018 Run saw the first time we had adopted a ‘two-route’ system out of London to help alleviate congestion. We received a huge number of positive comments anecdotally and were pleased that this was also reflected in the survey results: 92% of you thought the two routes out of London were either ‘Good’, ‘Very Good’ or ‘Excellent’. It appears our overall route remains highly popular too, with 92% of participants rating the route in general ‘Good’, ‘Very Good’ or ‘Excellent’. A few notable participants comments from this year’s post-event survey included:

This year was a big improvement and the use of two routes eased the congestion during the earlier stage of the Run.

The two routes worked really well, and good marshalling throughout the Run.

Excellent route and much less traffic made the exit out of London a breeze.

Safety and observance of the rules of the road remains paramount to protect the reputation and future success of the famous Run and we were pleased to see positive developments in the adoption of respectful driving in 2018. This was helped in part by the ‘Yellow Card’ system that we successfully trialled and we’ll be looking to continue our close monitoring of driving standards for all future Runs. If you need reminding of safe driving tips while taking part in the Run, watch our Safety Film here.

It may be the oldest motoring event in the world, but that doesn’t mean this year’s Run can’t be the best yet. We continue to listen to all feedback and, with plans already firmly underway for 2019, we’ll look forward to seeing you at the start line on Sunday 3 November!
